Madinat Jumeirah Living is a pedestrian-focused residential district shaped by earthy tones, lush landscaping, and traditional architectural cues.
GLSW developed the full external wayfinding and signage strategy for the community’s public realm, ensuring seamless circulation across gardens, courtyards, parks, and shaded pedestrian routes. The design takes cues from the natural palette, warm stone, textured bronze, and subtle chamfers, creating elements that feel embedded within the landscape rather than applied onto it.
Key touchpoints include building identification, neighbourhood markers, vehicular guidance, and discreet regulatory signs placed to preserve the visual calm of the surroundings. Each element is engineered for outdoor durability while maintaining an elegant, understated presence appropriate to the community’s resort-inspired character. Typography and iconography were refined for legibility across varying distances, particularly within high-traffic walkways and shared spaces. The system guides intuitive movement while reinforcing the district’s pedestrian-focused identity within Madinat Jumeirah.
